Anggun means grace (accurately, graceful) in English, it is somewhat “seemingly effortless beauty or charm of movement, form, or proportion.”

Somehow foggy but clear, simple but beautiful, graceful voice comes from Anggun. I would describe her voice as the only one, because never in my life I heard any other voice like her. Powerful and magnificent. Well, so many teenage singers or singers out there now, and for me, somehow I think they sound pretty similar and that they’re there effortless, nearly talentless.

Probably, for all Indonesians, we know how Anggun has effort as well as talent. She started to sing in a young age. She was in rock genre, that is what they said, because I didn’t live in that era. She began pursuing her dreams in 1994, moving to London then to France and learning French, trying to make a career there. And she suceed, until now, and still she remains a very humble person.

You can’t describe the scent of a rose, I can’t describe her voice, so you really have to give it a try (nod).
